This is me recreating a previous technique I stumbled upon.

This is is from several years ago in my intro to photography class. We worked in groups and tried to illustrate an emotion.
The focus is a little off because I was using the old beat up cameras my university lends out.
Still, I liked it. one of my better efforts at the time.
I think I told...

Tried out some food photography.
Set my camera's white balance to incandescent and used a simple 75 watt bulb as lighting.
I'm pretty happy with the results. Next I'll try adding some bounce lighting as well.
I also baked the cake =D

Edit:
Concerning the bottom...

A lion's head fountain that I found in a park.
Mostly this shot was me learning to use sunlight and playing with macro mode. I'm not sure if the low depth of field is a good or bad thing for this picture.

criticism welcome.

On a visit to the Museum of Modern Art in NYC, i came across a piece with hundreds of miniature ceramic vases. There were 5 or six levels in a glass display case.

Could probably use some cropping, but couldn't decide where.
Suggestions are welcome

This is me experimenting with a sequence of photos. I took it with my camera in continous shooting mode. I don't know if it has artistic merit, but its something fun to play around with.
Please view the additional image since its too wide to post here.

I was waiting for a train in Penn station around 4 am. This is 32nd Street in front of Madison Square Garden. I'm not sure why there's a big spotlight on that building. Looks like batman might swing by any moment =)

This is slow shutter speed handheld, so there is a bit of a blur.
